NEW Board member Dorria Ball is president and founder of the Global Ballance Group, a company focused on advancing the agendas of women and women of color in the corporate and creative spaces. Ball is executive producer of “A Ballerina’s Tale,” a documentary film about Misty Copeland, the first African American woman promoted to principal dancer by the American Ballet Theater in the company’s 75-year history. She concluded her 25-year career in the retail and consumer goods industry in December 2015 as vice president of human resources for U.S. sales for Mondelez International. She began her career in line sales management and moved on to hold cross-functional roles domestically and internationally, including vice president of human resources, Kraft Foods Latin America and senior director of global diversity and inclusion. Ball is a founding member and first secretary of the Abyssinian Fund and sits on the membership committee for The Executive Leadership Council. She was recently appointed chairperson of the Jazz at Lincoln Center “Swing” Committee. She previously served as a board member and former co-chairperson of Dress for Success Worldwide. Ball is a graduate of Indiana University.
